Dinner at Masala
Most of the food contained a lot of spice.
Butter chicken is so delicious
Mild butter chicken looked so suspicious.
Butter chicken is good with rice
Butter chicken butter chicken is so nice.
Butter chicken is so nice
Coke and Fanta was a good price.
This year was the best year 8
even the teachers thought we were great.
Oh no it's time to go home
hopped in the car and off we go.

Nutrient Poem
It's a source of energy.
It's something that we eat
But its not healthy.
It comes in our food so many times
Be very clever and it sometimes.

My Narrative Writing Assessment
Why are you screaming?. I asked.
“AHH”. There’s a ghost in the shed. A ghost!
“There’s no such thing,” I went to check the shed. I crept up the door. A crashing noise came from inside. I jumped back. What fright! . I tiptoed again towards the shed.
“Be careful,” my whispered in fear.
SHHH! I said.
“BOO”, I said.
Dad got a fright and I started laughing.
My brother came and said ,”Did you catch the ghost?”
Dad is the ghost, I said.
I am cleaning the shed and the ghost went past me.

The First Kiwi Sport Of The Year
We were split into groups of seven. It was time to play King/Queen of the court. I was the first one to be the king . I raced to the other side of the net. Agnes served the ball . I was nervous . I forgot what to do. The ball bounced once, I ran towards the ball as fast as I could. Suddenly the ball touched the ground again. I was out.
I found it funny that I was beaten by a girl. Sadly our lesson was over. I slowly walked to put my racket down. I didn’t want to leave. I was having fun. We kindly said thank-you to Marcel. We went back to the classroom.
This lesson was really fun. It was my first time playing tennis. I can’t wait for next week. I’m gonna try harder.
Opening Mass For The Year
Today is the opening mass of the year 2012. We do these things as catholics. In the first reading the message I got was not to loaf around and to not be a burden. I am going to work very hard this year.
During the mass I did a special part. I was reading one of the prayers of the faithful. I felt great when I saw the smiles on the teachers’ faces and the people. It was a very special time for me.
It was wonderful how father blessed the teachers at the end of the mass. What a lovely way to begin the year.

Celebration of Anzac Day
Anzac Day
The reason why we celebrate Anzac day is because we remember the soldier’s that died in 1915 world war 1.
We celebrate to keep alive the memory of all those who have fought and for those who have died protecting their country and their people. We should never let our heroes be forgotten.Ever!!
Also the ladies use to cook really nice biscuits its called Anzac biscuits but they were also hard.
It’s such an important day it has been made a public holiday and all the shops are shut till 1.00pm as a sign of respect.
THIS A FAMOUS POEM OR ODE
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row
That mark our place, and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
How to make Anzac biskuits
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup plain flour
- 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup dessicated coconut
- 100g macamdamia nuts, chopped
- 125g butter
- 4 tbsp golden syrup
- 1 tsp baking soda (bicarbonate soda)
- 2 tbsp boiling water
Method:
Preheat oven to 180°C. Line 2 baking trays with baking paper and set aside. In a bowl combine the oats, sugar, flour and coconut.
In a small saucepan heat the golden syrup and butter. Add the boiling water to the baking soda and dissolve.
Pour dissolved baking soda into the golden syrup and mix. It will foam up and as it does, pour into the oat mix. Stir to combine and mix in macadamias.
Roll into small balls and place 3 cm apart on the baking trays. Flatten slightly with the back of a spoon.
Bake for 15-20 minutes until slightly golden. Transfer to a rack and leave to cool.
In Europe they have a similar day called remembrance day in November.
The new born vampires and Wear Wolf.
